About
The Spirt of Guiding is a 12-berth narrowboat (56 feet in length), owned by Girlguiding West Yorkshire West County and is available to hire for adventures by anyone in Girlguiding, The Scout Association or other youth organisations.
Our narrowboat is ideal for week-long, weekend, day or night trips (during daylight hours) and has played host to many week and weekend trips for Brownies, Guides, Scouts and Rangers.
It can also be used for a scenic weekend or evening outing for your District, Division team or Trefoil group and can be booked for Rainbows for short day trips.
The boat has a forward lounge/dining area, a fully stocked galley kitchen and a main sleeping area with 12 bunks.
Skipper bookings
If required, a skipper can be provided for an extra charge. A skipper license is required to take out the narrowboat.
This charge is used to cover future training and maintenance.
