Trefoil

About

Trefoil is going strong within West Yorkshire West (WYW). We have five Trefoil guilds across the county that meet at various times throughout the month, taking part in many activities. 

Trefoil is not just for retired leaders. It is for anyone – friends, acquaintances, partners – and all volunteers at any stage in their Guiding journey.

Each year we have two main events where we can all meet up – Our Annual Meeting usually in April and our Get-together usually in October.

Our Trefoil Guilds

Calder Valley

We now have 18 of us – old guiders but all friends. We meet on the first Monday of the month from 2 to 4 – in the private room at Honest John’s cafe bar.  Most meetings we have an event to plan i.e. visits to a museum, walks in our beautiful countryside and meals in a local hostelry.

Some of us still help at Rainbows and Brownies and love to be invited to help out at the different units.

Our ages range from 30 to 92 – we have lots of fun.

Halifax South

We meet at New Hope UR Church on the 2nd Monday each month unless we are out and about having food and fun.

Inspire

Inspire does not have a regular meeting time or place as many of our members work full time, so we meet evenings and weekends. Our ages range from 18 upwards and includes male members as well as active members of Girlguiding.

We do fun activities like Wheelchair Rugby, Art classes, Theatre trips, Escape Rooms and outings. We also have a monthly walk on the last Sunday of each month.
